Well it was me and Chris out partying on a Saturday night, we started off drinking in Chris’s room at the Berkeley Court with the door wide open and who walks past? Roger bloody Moore Mr James Bond with his wife! They were staying in the suite next door. So that got me and Chris on a good buzz for the night out…we then went out and got totally wasted at coppers…..we managed to bring back some random bloke who wanted to meet Roger moore to the hotel and we went back to chris’s room at about 4am, he was staying on a non-smoking floor ( i was on a smoking floor seeing as i was smoking at the time) and in our pis*ed state, me and the random fella tried to test the hotel smoke alarm by putting our lit cigerrete’s up to the smoke alarm in the ceiling outside chris’s room (outside roger moore’s suite!!), subsequently setting off the entire hotel fire alarm system, the heavies rushed upstairs and they evacuated the entire hotel, the random bloke legged it….fire ambulances and fire brigades were called to the hotel as standard procedure after everyone was evacuated (including James Bond himself)…as it was a false alarm the fire service charge the hotel a standard callout fee of 500 euro for the first hour and 500 euro for every subsequent hour after that!!
I basically fessed up the next morning to the hotel manager and I took the hit for the fine, thank god it was only one hour that the fire brigade were called out for…
