After a bad start to the season, Málaga are now a surprise seventh after beating Getafe 2-1. The visitors got the better start, Granero testing Arnau before Soldado picked up a long punt from Pato to beat the keeper with a low shot from outside of the area.
Adrián had a couple of chances to extend the lead after the break, but substitute Kepa could have saved a point had he been able to beat Arnau in stoppage time. Málaga had their third win in a row though, and they have built up a solid base before taking on the big four.
